Aquabiking in a cabin offers a host of benefits!

Regular aquabiking is a source of well-being and benefits. Pedalling in the water accentuates the work done on the muscles of the lower body and the abdominal muscles, thanks to the resistance of the water, which is greater than that of the air. When you work out in the water, the pressure naturally massages your body. In our Aquafit EASY cabin aquabike, the massage is further enhanced by the hydromassaging action of the machine’s 26 adjustable jets. Regular in-cab aquabiking gives definite results after one or two months, with one or two sessions a week. A course of 8 to 10 aquabiking sessions will produce visible results.

Benefits - Calories

Aquabiking in a private cabin encourages weight loss and increases the number of calories burned.

A study (see document to download) is currently being carried out on this subject with the aim of comparing energy intake and expenditure after pedalling in an aquatic environment with and without hydromassage jets.

The results show :

– No difference in perception, difficulty of effort with and without jets.

– Increase energy expenditure with hydromassage jets

– Reduced energy intake during the meal following aquabiking exercise in an individual cabin.

In conclusion, the results show that individual aquabike pedalling is conducive to an energy deficit.
The use of hydromassage jets is an additional factor in this deficit.
What’s more, since water reduces gravity, aquabikes help some people (overweight people, people who want to lose weight….) to do cardio work and lose weight more easily than on a “conventional” bike. This activity is gentler on the joints and there is no risk of muscle soreness.

Improve venous return in the lower limbs!

Aquabiking is the ideal physical activity for this type of condition. The muscular effort (venotonic effect on the thighs and legs) combined with the turbulence of the water following the pedalling reinforces this action. Using the jets actively combats water retention and circulatory problems.

The beneficial effects of using Aquafit EASY have been observed on inflamed operated knees.

The result is better patient tolerance, less pain, less inflammation and a faster rehabilitation process.

A single machine combines the effects of progressive muscle lapping, the buoyancy of the water, the massaging effect of the jets and the thermoregulation of the water.

Benefits - Recovery

The effectiveness of recovery with aquabiking in a cabin after sustained effort has been proven thanks to tests conducted on 10 football players (CFA) in February 2018 by 2 physiotherapists in the Rhône-Alpes-Auvergne region.

These tests have shown that recovery in an EASY aquabike is more effective than recovery in immersion alone, whether active or passive.
